How I Spent My Weekend
Dirty Daddy and I used to spend Thanksgiving weekend eating (hello turkey), hungover (thank you Oktoberfest) and rested (combine hangover naps and tryptophan). A blissful long weekend of nothingness.
That was forever changed when our Bug arrived four years ago on October 9th. Now our Thanksgiving long weekends are filled with eating (hello turkey hot dogs), hangovers (purely of the sleep deprivation kind) and restful naps (for the kids only).
While the past four years have aged me about twenty-seven, I have never been more thankful. Three beautiful children and a hottie husband are more blessings then I am deserving of I'm sure. But they're mine, so back off (I will cut you).
We spent the weekend celebrating family and our Bug's fourth birthday (Bug got to pet a baby lion on her birthday!). The birthday party isn't until the end of the month, when I can totally rip off the Halloween theme, but I'm going all Martha on this party, so the shit better turn out.
I also ripped off an idea I found on Pinterest, the virtual time warp that robs my children of their Mother. But I changed it a bit and now it's forever my girl's fourth birthday interview.
I hope all of my Canadian friends enjoyed their long Thanksgiving weekend. And to my American friends, yours is coming soon (which I will celebrate with some cross border crazy shopping deals).
Gotta run Dirties, literally.
